Eric Boulter was Australia’s most successful swimmer at the 1972 summer Paralympics. Australia’s only swimming gold medal came courtesy of his performance in the men’s Class 2 25m backstroke. Boulter won his gold with a world record swim of 24.3 seconds and also picked up silver in the 3x25m medley event.
