Demonstration wheelchair basketball game between the WA ‘Paras’ and the police cadets on a makeshift court outside the post office in Forrest Place, Perth. The police cadets were a regular opponent for the Paras for demonstration and fundraising events. After gaining permission from the Matron of Royal Perth Hospital, nurses circulated amongst the crowd and collected donations. At this event alone, 150 pounds was raised to help cover costs to send a team to the 1957 Stoke Mandeville Games. For the Paras (dark tops) L to R are: Clive Bikkle, Bill Mather-Brown, Roger Cockerill and Frank Ponta.
