Three Australians contested the 100m final for leg amputees

The final of the men’s 100m A4A9 event at the 1988 Seoul summer Paralympics, featuring three Australian athletes: on the far left is Andrew O’Sullivan, 4th from left is Adrian Lowe and second from right (#14) is Joe Egan. American Dennis Oehler won the race, with Lowe taking silver, Egan finishing 5th and O’Sullivan 7th. Six of the 8 athletes in the final were from the USA or Australia.
