If you wanted to fly

Australian blind athlete Phillip Deveraux competes in the long jump during the B1 Pentathlon event at the 1988 Seoul summer Paralympics. Before he takes off, Deveraux is guided down the track by a caller (in this case, the vision impaired team section manager, Gary Prior). The athlete runs towards the sound of the caller, counting their steps to the take-off point. Deveraux finished just outside the medals, in 4th place.
