Rickards sets off in one of sport’s most demanding events

Vision impaired skier Peter Rickards (left) and his sighted guide Elder Hagen set out in their first race at the Geilo Winter Paralympics. Rickards competed in 2 cross-country events at the 1980 Games, with a best finish of 10th. Hagen was a Norwegian skier who was not a member of the Australian Team.
