Michael Norton won two gold medals for Australia at the 1994 Lillehammer Winter Games, becoming Australia’s first ever multiple winter gold medalist at a single Games. His ‘all out’ style meant that he recorded ‘DNFs’ (did not finish) in the downhill and slalom events, but won gold in the giant slalom and super-G events.
