It was double gold for the men’s amputee relay track team

Australia’s men’s amputee track relay team of (from left to right) Neil Fuller, Stephen Wilson, Tim Matthews and Heath Francis won the 4x400m T46 relay and the 4x100m T46 relay at the 2000 Sydney Paralympics, in a convincing show of the depth of the Australian amputee sprint team. In the lead-up to the Games, the team had been allowed to compete in the relay at the Australian able-bodied athletics championships and achieved a top three finish.
