At just 19, Kurt Fearnley was one of the ‘babies’ of the Australian athletics team but his personality and results at the 2000 Sydney Paralympics launched the career of one of Australia’s most successful wheelchair racers and highest profile Paralympians. Fearnley carried an Australian flag between his teeth after winning silver in the T54 800m.
