James Patterson won two medals at the 1994 Lillehammer Winter Paralympics – silver in the downhill and bronze in the giant slalom. His performances helped Australia to a haul of nine medals and 9th on the medal tally for the Games, despite sending a team of just six athletes, all in the single discipline of alpine skiing. At his second and final Games in 1998, Patterson was Australia’s only medalist.
