For the first time, an Australian TV network sent a crew to the Games

The 1988 Seoul Summer Paralympics was the first time an Australian TV network sent a crew to cover the Paralympic Games. Led by Peter Wilkins (in green shirt), a crew from the Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC) sent clips back for ABC news broadcasts and produced a film about the Australian Team’s performance which was shown on ABC TV after the Games. These Games led to a long association between the ABC and Paralympics Australia, with the ABC covering every Games from the 1988 summer Games through to Sochi in 2014, with the exception of Athens in 2004. Here, the crew films shooter Libby Kosmala in action (obscured behind the official in a red jacket).
