At one time in his career as a wheelchair sprinter Richard Oliver held the world record in the men’s Class 4 100m. However, the 1976 summer Paralympics was not his time and he didn’t get past the semi-final. Oliver came back to win bronze in the event in 1980 and then Paralympic gold as a member of the basketball team in 1996.
