Australia at the Vancouver Winter Paralympics 2010

The lead up to the Vancouver Games was the most expansive, extensive and comprehensive in winter Paralympic history for an Australian team. There was a new system of team selection with published nomination and selection criteria, and ability to formally appeal. Australia also sent the largest contingent of support staff to Vancouver. The support staff was matched by an extensive Australian media contingent. The APC communications division implemented a ‘Road to Vancouver Media Plan’, which maximised experience from previous games, existing expertise and opportunities in new media.
