Australia took five competitors to the 1988 Innsbruck Winter Paralympics, all Alpine skiers – Michael Collins, Kyrra Grunnsund, Evan Hodge, Michael Milton and David Munk – and two coaches, Hans Hinterholzer and Jamie Milner. Phillip Manley was the Chef de Mission.
Performance:
Although no Australian athletes medalled at these Games, 14-year-old Michael Milton gained valuable experience in amputee alpine events and David Munk competed in the inaugural sit ski events. They were to reap the rewards from this experience at the next Games in Tignes-Albertville, France.
