An enthusiastic crowd of family, friends and other supporters travelled to Italy to cheer on the the Australian team at the Torino winter Paralympics. Among them was Ron Finneran, Australia’s sole representative at the first winter Paralympics in 1976, multiple team leader and one of the founders of disabled winter sports in Australia. Finneran is seated, to the immediate left of photographer Jennie Milton, who took the photo using time delay. Milton is the sister of Michael Milton.
